Restoration is a principle deeply rooted in the idea of bringing back what has been stolen, lost, and damaged. This principle can be applied to our lives, where we take stock of what has been taken away from us and work towards bringing it back.
In the Bible, we see instances of restoration, where people who have encountered Jesus Christ have had their lives transformed. They were no longer limited but were instead made complete, restored to what they were meant to be. In this message, we explore the principle of restoration and examine how Jesus brings back what has been lost.
In Matthew 12:13, a man with a withered hand was healed by Jesus and restored to wholeness. In Mark 8:24-25, a blind man was restored to sight. In both cases, the Bible uses the word “restored” instead of “healed,” indicating that something missing was brought back. Restoration goes beyond physical healing; it encompasses relationships, financial stability, and emotional well-being.
It is crucial to identify what has been taken away from our lives, whether it's a lost relationship, opportunity, or other vital elements. By acknowledging what is missing, we can work towards restoration, aiming not only to regain what was lost but also to restore our purpose and potential.
Restoration is not a one-time event; it's a continuous journey. We must have faith that God will restore what has been taken away and trust in His plan. As a believer, Jesus brings wholeness and fulfillment, recreating what has been lost.
The Bible speaks of the second Adam, Jesus Christ, who brings complete restoration (1 Corinthians 15:47). Through His sacrifice, He recreates and restores everything, making all things new and better. Jesus brings us to our original state of wholeness.
No matter what we have lost, Jesus brings restoration. The best is yet to come, and we should remain hopeful, knowing that God is not done with us. Restoration is a powerful principle in our spiritual lives, and with faith, we can experience the fullness of what God has planned for us.
